LAKE GAMES

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 29, 2026 · 한국어

Lake Games is the trade name of an individual developer (“we”). This policy explains what information is processed when you play Holy Heck! (Android and Steam) and use our support website (lakegames.site). If this English version and the Korean version differ, the Korean version prevails.

1. What we process and why

Guest sign-in
Unity Gaming Services (UGS) Authentication creates a player ID and session data, and receives connection data such as your IP address, to identify your account and sign you in. There is no registration and no email or phone number. Sign-in data is kept on your device so you return to the same account next time.
Steam account link
The Steam version sends a sign-in ticket from Steam to UGS to link your Steam ID to your game account and to sign in with Steam later. We do not receive your Steam password, friends list or payment details. Friend invites in the waiting room only pass a room code through the Steam overlay.
Nickname
The nickname you enter on first launch is saved to your account and shown to opponents in online matches. Do not use your real name, contact details or IDs from other services. Nicknames are checked against a blocked-word list on your device only.
Online matches
For public and private matchmaking and gameplay, your player ID, nickname, room code, in-match position, input, item and result data, and IP address are exchanged with your opponent's device through Photon servers. We do not store this match data on our own servers.
Connection quality records
To decide on new server regions and improve connections, each online match records the match type (public or private), waiting time, response time to the server and to the opponent's device, the server region, platform (PC or mobile), your device's region setting (an operating-system setting, not your actual location) and the game version. Once a day the game also measures response time to each server region. Records are kept on your device and in your account data in UGS Cloud Save, and only the latest 30 are kept.
Match integrity records
If an opponent's device reports something outside normal limits in an online match (a position off the board, impossible speed, an item pick-up that does not match, etc.), the time, match ID, game version, both players' IDs and what was detected are saved to your account data in UGS Cloud Save. They are used only to review cheating, only the latest 20 are kept, and no automatic penalties are applied.
Service settings check
The game sends app information such as the game version to UGS Remote Config to check whether online features are available and which version is required.
Ads
The mobile version shows interstitial ads through Unity LevelPlay, served by ad networks connected to LevelPlay (currently Unity Ads). They may process your IP address (including approximate location), device identifiers such as the advertising ID, device and OS information, ad interactions and diagnostics to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud, and may use them for interest-based (personalized) ads. What is processed depends on the OS, SDK version and ad settings. You can reset or delete your advertising ID or turn off personalized ads in your device settings. The ad SDK does not start if you bought ad removal or play the Steam version.
In-app purchase
If you buy ad removal on mobile, the product ID, purchase and transaction status and receipt are used to confirm the purchase and apply it. Ownership is also saved on your device. Steam sales and payment details such as card numbers are handled by each store (Google Play, Steam); we do not receive them.
On-device data
Volume, language, display and control settings, a cached nickname, an install ID and a copy of connection quality records are stored on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app.

2. Bug reports and support requests

The bug report and deletion request forms on our support website collect the game, the subject and message you write, an optional nickname, player ID and email address, and your consent, to investigate problems, look up accounts, reply and process deletions. Without an email address we cannot reply to you. Device information is not attached automatically, so do not enter passwords, real names or payment details in the free-text fields.

Form submissions are delivered to our Gmail (lake422517@gmail.com) through FormSubmit. FormSubmit and its spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA) may process connection data and cookies for delivery and security, and FormSubmit states that it keeps its own submission logs for 30 days. We delete reports, requests and our replies within 90 days after they are resolved. You may choose not to submit a form; this does not limit your use of the game.

3. Service providers and international processing

We use the services below. Depending on the features you use, information is sent over the internet and may be processed on servers outside your country. Information is sent when you use the related feature, and is kept as described in section 4 and in each provider's policy.

Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies, USA)
Authentication, Cloud Save and Remote Config process your player ID, Steam ID, nickname, connection data, connection quality and integrity records, and app information, when you sign in, link Steam, save your nickname or save records; when you ask us to delete your account, we delete it in UGS. Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads (Unity Technologies and affiliates)
Process the information described under “Ads” to serve and measure mobile ads and prevent fraud, when an ad is requested or shown. Unity privacy policy
Photon (Exit Games GmbH, Germany)

Google (Google Play, Gmail, reCAPTCHA)
Used for purchases, receiving support emails and spam protection. Google states that it processes information on servers worldwide, including the USA. Google Privacy Policy
Valve (Steam)

FormSubmit and website hosting (Netlify)
May process what you enter, your IP address, request time and browser information to deliver forms and serve web pages. This website has no analytics scripts and no database of reports. Netlify privacy policy

Actual processing locations and log or backup retention follow each provider's policies and contracts; we cannot confirm the location or deletion time of every copy. If you do not want international processing, you can avoid the related features (online matches, mobile ads, etc.) or ask us to delete your account.

4. Retention and deletion

5. Access, correction and deletion

To delete your account, use the account and data deletion request page or email us. Settings › Account › Delete account in the game opens that page, and tapping your player ID under Settings › Account copies it so you can include it to help us find your account. You may ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its processing or withdraw consent; we only ask for the minimum needed to confirm it is you. We handle web and email requests without delay, in principle within 30 days. Never send passwords or sign-in data.

6. Age

Holy Heck! is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. If we learn that information from a child under 13 has been processed, we delete it without delay. Parents and guardians can ask us to delete a child's information using the contact below.

7. Security

Access to service dashboards is limited to our own account, and we do not collect more than we need. Sign-in, account storage and this website use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Match data exchanged with your opponent's device during online matches (player ID, nickname and match state) is not separately encrypted. We do not sell the information we collect.
